Made for UK Everyday Wear

Why choose 14K solid gold for UK nose piercings?

Close-up of 14K solid gold seamless nose rings for nostril and septum piercings

Nose jewellery sits against warm, delicate skin every day, so material matters — especially in the UK, where nickel regulations set a high bar for body jewellery. Our rings are made from 14K solid gold throughout: no plated surface to wear away, no filler, and nickel-free for sensitive healed piercings. Every hoop meets the standard UK professional piercers and the APP recommend for long-term wear.

  • Solid 14K gold throughout
Not gold-plated, not gold-filled — solid gold that will not degrade against your skin over time.
  • Nickel-free for sensitive skin
Formulated with UK nickel regulations in mind. A gentle choice for healed piercings that react to lower-quality metals.
  • Seamless design, minimal snagging
No ball, clasp or hinge — just a continuous hoop with a fine join, comfortable for sleeping and showering.
  • Crafted and sized in the UK
Handmade and shipped from the UK, sized in mm and gauge — the same units your UK piercer uses. Designed for healed piercings you want to keep in day and night.

Quick Size Pointers for UK Nostril & Septum Piercings

Not sure about your size direction?

These pointers help you think about fit before you dive into the detailed size guides.

For nostril hoops

If your piercing sits low, close to the edge of your nostril, a smaller inner diameter will give you a snug, close-fitting hoop.

If your piercing is placed higher on the nostril wing, you will likely need a slightly larger diameter for a comfortable fit — and the hoop will sit with a more relaxed, visible look.

UK nostril piercings are typically done in one of two common gauges: one for a standard everyday hoop, another thinner gauge for a more delicate look.

For septum rings

A smaller inner diameter sits very snug against the septum with minimal drop below the nose — almost invisible from certain angles.

A mid-range diameter gives a balanced everyday look, and is where many healed septum piercings start when switching to a seamless hoop.

A larger diameter means more visible drop below the nose for a bolder, statement look.

Understanding Our Sizing

Two numbers, one perfect fit

Every STEPOY nose ring is defined by two measurements: inner diameter and gauge. These are the same units used by UK piercers and referenced throughout our size guides, so once you know your numbers you can match them directly to any product listing.

Inner diameter (mm)
The distance across the inside of the hoop. This controls how the ring fits around your nostril or septum — whether it sits snug or with more room. All STEPOY rings are sized by inner diameter in millimetres, following UK body jewellery convention.
Gauge (G)
The thickness of the ring wire. Gauge is independent of diameter — a hoop can be any diameter in any gauge. Always match the gauge to your existing piercing to ensure a comfortable, secure fit.

Our product listings use the same units as our size guides, so once you have your numbers you can match them directly to any product on this page.

Common Questions · UK Customers

About our gold nose rings

Yes. All our nose rings are measured by inner diameter in millimetres and standard gauges — the same units used by UK piercers. This makes it straightforward to match your existing piercing to the right ring, whether you measured yourself or had your piercer check for you.

Every ring is handmade to order in the UK and shipped via Royal Mail with tracking and insurance. There is no overseas wait — orders are dispatched within our stated lead time and delivered to customers in London and across the UK with free standard delivery.

Yes. Once your nostril or septum piercing is fully healed, 14K solid gold is suitable for round-the-clock wear — including sleeping, showering and exercise. Because the gold is solid throughout (not plated), it will not degrade against your skin over time. For detailed healing and fit advice, see our nostril or septum size guide.

If you are between two inner diameters, the slightly larger one is usually the safer choice — a hoop that is a little too roomy is more comfortable than one that is too tight. For personalised advice, check our nostril or septum size guide, or contact us before ordering and we will help you narrow it down.

Our rings are made from 14K solid gold with a nickel-free formulation, designed with UK nickel regulations and APP guidelines in mind. They are a suitable option for healed piercings that react easily to lower-quality metals, plated jewellery or surgical steel.
