The details that matter
A familiar curve with an individual finish. Explore the shape, hand-hammered texture and fit of your Ember solid gold nose hoop.
1. Why you’ll love it
Ember keeps its character on the outside of the lower curve. Irregular hammer marks follow the outer edge of the hoop, while its upper half remains smooth, polished round wire. The result is a delicate circle with a little more detail to notice up close.
With a suitable fit and orientation, the smooth section sits within the nostril and piercing, leaving the textured outer curve on show. How much is visible depends on your anatomy, piercing position and chosen diameter.
Every ring is hammered individually, without a repeating pattern. Your ring will share the design pictured, with its own arrangement of small impressions. Wear it alone, or alongside a favourite septum ring for a personal mix of gold and texture.
2. Material & finish
Made from 14ct solid gold, never plated or gold-filled.
- Choose yellow, white or rose gold
- Fine round-wire hoop with a smooth, polished upper half
- Irregular hand-hammered texture on the outer circumference of the lower half
- Smooth wire on both sides of a discreet, flat-cut seam
- Each ring has its own naturally varied hammer marks
- Handmade to order for fully healed nostril piercings
The photographs show the design and finish; the exact pattern of impressions will differ on your ring.
3. Choosing your size
Choose from 6–10mm inner diameters and 18G (1.0mm) or 20G (0.8mm). The inner diameter determines how closely the hoop sits around your nostril:
- 6–7mm: a smaller curve, where your piercing position allows a comfortable fit
- 8mm: a middle option to compare with a ring you already wear
- 9–10mm: more room for your placement or preferred look
Choose the same gauge as your current well-fitting jewellery. The gauge describes the smooth wire that passes through your piercing; the hammered surface has small natural variations.
Compare the inside diameter of a hoop that fits you, or ask your piercer to confirm your size. Check the available product options for half sizes.
4. Wearing your seamless hoop
Gently twist the ends sideways in opposite directions to open your hoop. Do not pull them directly apart, as this can distort the circle.
Guide a smooth round-wire end through your fully healed piercing, keeping the hammered section outside the piercing channel. Twist the flat-cut ends back into alignment until they meet neatly.
Ask a professional piercer to help if you are unsure about fitting or positioning your ring.
