Why we started STEPOY
Buying piercing jewellery can feel unnecessarily complicated. There are countless materials, closures, gauges and diameters, yet very little practical help with choosing the piece that will suit a particular piercing.
We started STEPOY to make that decision simpler. Instead of an overwhelming catalogue, we build a focused collection around the questions people actually ask: Will it stay secure? Is it easy to wear? What diameter should I choose? Which style suits the way I want my piercing to look?
Our aim is not to offer the most options. It is to offer thoughtful designs, clear differences between them and enough sizing support to help you make an informed choice.
Why 14ct solid gold
Piercing jewellery sits in close contact with your skin for long periods, so material matters. We use nickel-free 14ct solid gold throughout—not gold plating, gold filling or a gold-coloured coating.
14ct gold contains at least 58.5% pure gold, alloyed to provide the strength needed for everyday jewellery. Because the gold runs through the whole piece, there is no thin surface coating to flake away and reveal a different base metal underneath.

Solid gold is durable, but it is not indestructible. Fine scratches and a gradual loss of polish are normal with everyday wear. Cosmetics, chemicals and repeated bending can also affect the finish or shape, so gentle handling still matters.

STEPOY is a small, independent UK-based brand working with experienced jewellery manufacturing partners. We do not simply pull a generic one-size ring from a shelf. Each piece is made to the gauge, inner diameter and gold colour selected at checkout.

Fit starts with the right measurements
Two measurements shape how piercing jewellery looks and feels: gauge and inner diameter. Gauge describes the thickness of the jewellery; inner diameter describes the space inside the ring.
A small difference can noticeably change the fit, but there is no single correct diameter for every nostril, helix, conch or septum. Anatomy, piercing placement, angle and personal preference all matter.

We stand behind our workmanship
Confirmed manufacturing defects during normal wear are covered by our complimentary one-year craftsmanship warranty. Depending on the issue, the appropriate remedy may be a repair, remake or replacement.
The warranty does not cover loss, normal surface wear, customer sizing errors, accidental damage, repeated bending or twisting, incorrect opening and closing, misuse or third-party alteration. We may request photographs, video, packaging information or return of the item before confirming the remedy.
