The details that matter
Discover the hand-finished texture, smooth gold and fit of your Ember solid gold tragus hoop.
1. Why you’ll love it
Ember adds a little character to the small curve at the front of your ear. Its upper half remains smooth, polished round wire, while the outer circumference of the lower half carries irregular impressions made by hand.
The textured outer curve brings detail to this subtle placement. The amount of hoop on show and the angle of its highlights depend on your anatomy, piercing position and chosen diameter.
Each ring is hammered individually, without a repeating pattern. Some impressions are softer, others more defined; their size, depth and spacing differ from piece to piece. Pair it with simple lobe hoops or a favourite helix piece for a gentle mix of polished gold and texture.
2. Material & finish
Made from 14ct solid gold, never plated or gold-filled.
- Choose yellow, white or rose gold
- Fine round-wire hoop with a smooth, polished upper half
- Irregular hand-hammered texture on the outer circumference of the lower half
- Smooth wire on both sides of a discreet, flat-cut seam
- Each ring has its own naturally varied hammer marks
- Handmade to order for fully healed tragus piercings
The photographs show the design and style of finish. Your ring will have its own arrangement of impressions.
3. Choosing your size
Choose from 4–8mm inner diameters and 18G (1.0mm) or 20G (0.8mm). The inner diameter determines how closely the hoop follows the edge of your tragus:
- 4–5mm: the smallest options, only where your anatomy and piercing position allow a comfortable fit
- 6mm: a middle option to compare with a hoop that already fits you
- 7–8mm: more room for your placement or preferred look
These are relative comparisons, not a fit guarantee. Choose the same gauge as your current well-fitting jewellery. Gauge describes the smooth round wire passing through the piercing; the hammered surface has small natural variations.
Measure an existing comfortable hoop or ask your piercer to confirm your diameter and gauge before ordering.
4. Wearing your seamless hoop
Open the hoop by gently twisting the ends sideways in opposite directions. Do not pull them directly apart, as this can distort the circle.
Guide a smooth round-wire end through your fully healed tragus piercing, keeping the textured section outside the piercing channel. Gently twist the flat-cut ends back into alignment until they meet neatly.
The tragus can be difficult to reach. Ask a professional piercer to help with fitting if you are unsure, and check that the ring sits without pressing into the surrounding tissue.
