3. Choosing your size
The tragus is a small piercing location, so even a 1mm difference can noticeably change the fit:
- 6mm: snug and discreet
- 7mm: a balanced fit for many tragus piercings
- 8mm: more room and a more visible hoop
Choose the same gauge as your current jewellery. 18G is common for cartilage piercings, while 20G creates a finer look.
Your ideal size depends on the thickness of your tragus and the position of the piercing. If you are unsure, ask your piercer to confirm your diameter and gauge.
4. Wearing your seamless hoop
Open the hoop by gently twisting the ends sideways in opposite directions. Do not pull the ends directly apart, as this can distort its shape.
Guide one end through your healed piercing, then twist the ends back into alignment. If the piercing is difficult to reach, ask a professional piercer to fit it for you.
