1. Why you’ll love it
Petal gives a simple lobe hoop a little more to notice. One half stays slender, polished and round; the other is gradually hammered flatter and wider towards the opening, finishing at its broadest point with a neat, straight edge. A smooth inner curve keeps the silhouette clean, while the textured side catches the light as you turn your head.
Every hoop is hammered by hand within that wider section. Broad, shallow impressions sit beside smaller, more defined marks, with naturally uneven direction and spacing. Your hoop will share the design pictured, with a pattern that belongs to it alone.
Wear one beside a favourite stud, choose two in the same size for a coordinated pair, or arrange different diameters along your lobes. The hand-hammered patterns will naturally differ, even when the sizes match. Handmade to order with closely aligned ends. Sold individually, for fully healed lobe piercings only.
2. Material & finish
Made from 14ct solid gold, never plated or gold-filled. A polished round-wire half meets a gradually flattened, hand-hammered half, creating a gentle contrast of smooth gold and naturally irregular texture.

3. Choosing your size
The inner diameter determines the size of the hoop and how much space sits beneath your lobe. Compare with a hoop that already fits you:
- 8mm: a smaller hoop for a closer look, depending on your lobe and piercing position
- 9–10mm: a little more room for an understated everyday look
- 11–12mm: a larger curve with more of the hoop on show
Your lobe shape and piercing position affect the fit. Choose the same gauge as your current well-fitting jewellery: 20G is 0.8mm and 18G is 1.0mm.
Each hoop is sold individually. Add two in the same size, gauge and gold colour for a pair, or choose different diameters to build your own ear stack. The hand-hammered textures will naturally vary from hoop to hoop.
The gauge refers to the slender round-wire section that passes through your piercing. The decorative hammered section is wider.
4. Wearing your seamless hoop
Open the hoop by gently twisting the ends sideways in opposite directions. Do not pull the ends directly apart, as this can distort its shape.
Guide the slender, smooth round-wire end through your fully healed piercing. Keep the wider, hammered section outside the piercing channel, then gently twist the ends back into alignment.
If you are unsure about changing your jewellery or how the wider section will sit, ask a professional piercer to fit it for you.
