1. Why you’ll love it
A little light beside your smile. Wear it on its own for a delicate accent, or pair it with a smooth septum hoop for a subtle contrast.
The entire outer circumference is hammered by hand with tiny, irregular transverse marks: short strokes across the outer edge that catch the light in little flashes. The front-facing side and inner surface remain smooth and polished.
The width, depth, angle and spacing of these small marks vary naturally with each hammer stroke. No two rings have exactly the same pattern; yours will share the design pictured, with details of its own.
Each Luma ring is handmade to order, with closely aligned ends for an almost seamless look. Sold individually, for fully healed nostril piercings.
2. Material & finish
Crafted from 14ct solid gold, never plated or gold-filled. Hand hammering follows the whole outer circumference, while the front-facing side and inner surface are left smooth and polished.

3. Choosing your size
A comfortable fit lets the little details shine. The inner diameter determines how closely Luma sits around your nostril. As a starting point:
- 6–7mm: a smaller diameter for a closer fit, depending on your piercing position
- 8mm: a middle option to compare with a hoop that already fits you
- 9–10mm: more room where your piercing position or preferred look calls for it
Your piercing position and anatomy matter more than the number alone. Choose the same gauge as your current well-fitting jewellery: 18G is 1.0mm, 20G is 0.8mm and 22G is 0.6mm.
Half sizes from 5.5mm to 10.5mm offer a little more flexibility when finding your fit. Check the available options above, and message us if you would like help comparing sizes.
4. Wearing your seamless hoop
Open the hoop by gently twisting the ends sideways in opposite directions. Do not pull the ends directly apart, as this can distort its shape.
Insert one end through your healed piercing, then twist the ends back into alignment. If you are unsure about changing your jewellery, ask a professional piercer to fit it for you.
