The details that matter
Discover Luma: a solid gold conch ring with hand-hammered detail around the entire outer edge and a smooth, polished front and inner surface.
1. Why you’ll love it
A delicate line of light around your ear. Let its textured outer edge be the focal point of your ear stack, alongside simple lobe hoops or your favourite little studs.
The entire outer circumference is hammered by hand with tiny, irregular transverse marks: short strokes across the outer edge that catch the light in little flashes. The front-facing side and inner surface remain smooth and polished.
The width, depth, angle and spacing of these small marks vary naturally with each hammer stroke. No two rings have exactly the same pattern; yours will share the design pictured, with details of its own.
Each Luma ring is handmade to order, with closely aligned ends for an almost seamless look. Sold individually, for fully healed conch piercings.
2. Material & finish
Crafted from 14ct solid gold, never plated or gold-filled. Hand hammering follows the whole outer circumference, while the front-facing side and inner surface are left smooth and polished.

3. Choosing your size
Luma is available in 10–15mm inner diameters. The right size needs to span the distance from your conch piercing around the outer edge of your ear without pressing into it. Compare with a hoop that already fits you:
- 10–11mm: the smaller options, where your ear shape and piercing position allow
- 12–13mm: a larger curve with more space around the ear
- 14–15mm: the roomiest options, for placements that need a wider diameter
Choose the same gauge as your current well-fitting jewellery: 18G is 1.0mm and 16G is 1.2mm.
Your piercing position and ear anatomy determine the fit. A larger diameter may be needed simply to reach around your ear, rather than to create a looser look. If you are unsure, ask your piercer to confirm your diameter and gauge before ordering.
4. Wearing your seamless hoop
Open the hoop by gently twisting the ends sideways in opposite directions. Do not pull the ends directly apart, as this can distort its shape.
Guide one end through your healed piercing, then twist the ends back into alignment. If the piercing is difficult to reach, ask a professional piercer to fit it for you.
