About your frog helix ring
This miniature frog head has two rounded bumps along the top and a broad, softly curved face. Its polished surface has no engraved eyes or mouth and no gemstones, keeping the frog silhouette clear and minimal.
This frog helix hoop adds a small nature-inspired detail to an ear stack of plain gold hoops and studs. Choose it for a playful touch of animal jewellery, or as a thoughtful gift for a frog lover with a healed helix piercing.
1. Why you’ll love it
This frog cartilage hoop combines a rounded frog-face motif with a simple polished gold ring. The approximately 3mm motif is fixed to the hoop itself, so there is no dangling charm. Its smooth outline adds character while keeping the design small and uncomplicated.
Wear it alone in your helix piercing, or pair it with plain gold pieces elsewhere on your ear. It is a playful choice for anyone who enjoys cute frog jewellery, tiny animal motifs and minimal helix hoops.
2. Solid gold, never plated
The frog motif and hoop are both made from genuine 14ct solid gold, rather than a gold coating over another metal. This solid gold frog helix hoop is nickel-free and handmade to order for a fully healed helix piercing.
- Yellow gold for a warm, sunny glow
- White gold for a cool, clean finish
- Rose gold for a soft hint of pink
The frog head is a polished solid-gold silhouette with no gemstone or stone setting, allowing its rounded outline to remain the main detail.
3. Choose your fit
Start with how you like a helix hoop to sit around the outer rim of your ear. A smaller inner diameter will usually sit closer, while a larger one gives a little more room. Your piercing position and ear anatomy affect the fit, so the same size can sit differently from person to person.
You can choose a 5, 6 or 7mm inner diameter. If you already have a helix ring that fits well, measure across its inside edge as a starting point. These small sizes will not suit every helix piercing; your piercer can check the space you need.
For the wire thickness, choose the same gauge as the jewellery you already wear:
- 18G = 1.0mm
- 20G = 0.8mm
The frog measures approximately 3mm and does not change the stated inner diameter. If you are unsure about your gauge, your piercer can check it for you.
4. How to wear it
This frog helix ring is made for a fully healed piercing in the upper outer cartilage of your ear.
When you are ready to put it in, gently twist the two ends sideways in opposite directions. Pulling them straight apart can change the shape of the circle, so hold the hoop itself rather than the frog motif.
Once one end is through your piercing, gently twist the ends back into alignment. If the angle is difficult to reach or you would prefer help, a professional piercer can fit it for you.
