About your gold ball helix hoop
The polished ball sits across the visible front of the hoop, adding a small rounded highlight along the outer edge of your ear. It’s simple enough to wear every day, but the three-dimensional shape catches the light a little more than a flat circle motif.

1. Why you’ll love it
The gold ball is a nice in-between if a completely plain hoop feels too simple but you don’t want a heart, star or other obvious motif. Its smooth shape adds one small point of shine without changing the clean feel of your helix.
Unlike the Circle design, which has a flat round face, this motif is a three-dimensional polished sphere. That extra depth gives it a slightly fuller look while still staying minimal.

The ball and hoop are both made from genuine 14ct solid gold, rather than a gold coating over another metal. It’s nickel-free and handmade to order for a fully healed helix piercing.

3. Choose your helix fit
Not sure whether to choose 5, 6 or 7mm? Start by looking at how close your helix piercing sits to the outer edge of your ear. Cartilage thickness and piercing angle can make a difference too.
- 5mm — a very close fit for piercings sitting close to the rim, with little cartilage to clear
- 6mm — a neat close fit for many helix placements near the outer edge
- 7mm — gives a little more room if your piercing sits further in, your cartilage is thicker, or you simply prefer a less snug look
Every ear is a little different, so these are starting points rather than fixed rules. If you already have a helix hoop that fits well, measure straight across its inside edge and choose the same inner diameter.
For wire thickness, match the jewellery you already wear: 18G = 1.0mm or 20G = 0.8mm.
4. How to wear it
This seamless gold ball hoop is made for a fully healed helix piercing.
Gently twist the two ends sideways in opposite directions. Try not to pull them straight apart, as that can change the shape of the hoop. Hold the hoop itself rather than using the ball as a handle.
Guide one end through the piercing, twist the ends back into alignment, then rotate the hoop until the ball sits where you like it. Because the ball is round, there’s no single upright direction, but its final position can still vary slightly with anatomy and piercing angle.
5. Style your helix
The gold ball is easy to mix into almost any ear stack. Pair it with plain gold in the lobes for something very simple, or add a circle, bar or tiny motif lower down if you want a little more variation without making the ear feel crowded.
