About your dog helix ring
This tiny dog head has a softly rounded face and two floppy ears extending to either side. The polished surface is left plain, with no engraved eyes, nose or mouth, keeping the puppy silhouette simple and recognisable.
If you enjoy pet-inspired jewellery, this small dog helix hoop brings a personal touch to your ear stack. Pair it with plain gold pieces, or choose it as a thoughtful gift for a dog lover.
1. Why you’ll love it
This puppy helix ring adds an animal detail to a simple gold hoop. The approximately 3mm dog-head motif is fixed to the ring itself, so there is no dangling charm. Its floppy ears give the outline a soft, friendly feel.
Wear it alone in your helix piercing, or pair this dog cartilage hoop with plain gold hoops and studs elsewhere on your ear. It is a lovely choice if you enjoy cute helix jewellery with a clean, polished finish.
2. Solid gold, never plated
The dog motif and hoop are both made from genuine 14ct solid gold, rather than a gold coating over another metal. This solid gold dog helix hoop is nickel-free and handmade to order for a fully healed helix piercing.
- Yellow gold for a warm, sunny glow
- White gold for a cool, clean finish
- Rose gold for a soft hint of pink
The puppy face is a polished solid-gold shape with no gemstone or stone setting, allowing its rounded face and floppy ears to remain the main detail.
3. Choose your fit
Start with how you like a helix hoop to sit around the outer rim of your ear. A smaller inner diameter will usually sit closer, while a larger one gives a little more room. Your piercing position and ear anatomy affect the fit, so the same size can sit differently from person to person.
You can choose a 5, 6 or 7mm inner diameter. If you already have a helix ring that fits well, measure across its inside edge as a starting point. These small sizes will not suit every helix piercing; your piercer can check the space you need.
For the wire thickness, choose the same gauge as the jewellery you already wear:
- 18G = 1.0mm
- 20G = 0.8mm
The dog measures approximately 3mm and does not change the stated inner diameter. If you are unsure about your gauge, your piercer can check it for you.
4. How to wear it
This dog helix ring is made for a fully healed piercing in the upper outer cartilage of your ear.
When you are ready to put it in, gently twist the two ends sideways in opposite directions. Pulling them straight apart can change the shape of the circle, so hold the hoop itself rather than the dog motif.
Once one end is through your piercing, gently twist the ends back into alignment. If the angle is difficult to reach or you would prefer help, a professional piercer can fit it for you.
