3. Choose your fit
Start with where your lobe piercing sits and how closely you want the hoop to follow the edge of your ear. A smaller inner diameter usually gives a closer look, while a larger diameter leaves more space below the lobe. Ear shape, lobe thickness and piercing position all affect the final fit.
You can choose an 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12mm inner diameter:
- 8mm — a close fit for many second or upper-lobe placements, or piercings close to the lobe edge
- 9–10mm — a neat everyday hoop for many first and second lobe piercings
- 11–12mm — more room below the lobe and a more visible hoop
If you already own a hoop that fits well, measure straight across its inside edge and choose the same inner diameter. For wire thickness, select the same gauge as the jewellery you already wear:
- 18G = 1.0mm
- 20G = 0.8mm
The cloud measures approximately 3mm and does not change the stated inner diameter. These size notes are a guide rather than a guarantee; if you are unsure, ask your professional piercer to check your size.
4. How to wear it
This seamless cloud lobe hoop is made for a fully healed earlobe piercing.
Gently twist the two ends sideways in opposite directions. Do not pull them directly apart, as this can distort the circle. Hold the hoop itself rather than using the cloud as a handle.
Guide one end through the piercing, then twist the ends back into alignment. Rotate the hoop until the cloud sits where you prefer. Its final angle can vary slightly with your anatomy and piercing direction. If fitting feels difficult, ask a professional piercer for help.
