Piercing fit note
For healed cartilage piercings, fit matters. A hoop that is too tight may press into the tissue, while a hoop that is too loose can move more than needed. If you are unsure about gauge or diameter, check with your piercer before ordering.

Once fully healed — typically 3–9 months for helix, up to 18 months for rook and conch. Cartilage piercings often look healed long before they are. Always have your piercer confirm before you change your jewellery.
Because every ring is handmade to your chosen size and gauge and worn in a piercing, we're unable to accept returns or exchanges for size or fit reasons — this is both a custom-order and hygiene policy. Please measure carefully and reach out before ordering if you're unsure. We're always happy to advise.
If your ring arrives with a defect — a break in the metal, wrong gauge, or fault in workmanship — we will replace it at no cost. Contact us within 7 days of receiving your order with photos and we'll resolve it immediately.
7mm is our best-seller for helix — a clean, refined fit for most helix anatomies. 6mm for a snug hug; 8mm for a slightly more open hoop.
Yes. All Stepoy rings are drawn from the same 14K yellow gold wire. Whether you order a 6mm forward helix and a 15mm lobe ring, they will match in colour, finish, and tone — making them ideal for building a curated ear over time.
We offer 16G, 18G, 20G, and 22G. If you're unsure which gauge your piercing is, ask your piercer — they'll be able to tell you. 18G and 20G are the most common for ear cartilage piercings.
