3. Choosing your size
The inner diameter determines how closely the hoop sits around your piercing. Your ideal size depends on anatomy and piercing placement, not only on the look you prefer.
- 6–7mm: a smaller, closer fit
- 8mm: a balanced everyday size for many placements
- 9–10mm: more room around the piercing and a more visible hoop
- 11–12mm: extra clearance for placements or anatomy that need more space
Choose the same gauge as your current jewellery: 20G is finer, while 18G is slightly thicker.
Double-digit motifs are naturally wider than single digits. If you are choosing a close-fitting diameter, check that there is enough room for the motif to sit comfortably and face the direction you want.
Measure a well-fitting hoop or ask your piercer before ordering if you are unsure.
4. Wearing your seamless hoop
Open the seamless hoop by gently twisting the two ends sideways in opposite directions. Do not pull the ends directly apart, as this can distort the circle.
Guide one end through your fully healed piercing, then twist the ends back into alignment. Rotate the hoop until the number sits upright and faces outward in your preferred position.
If the jewellery is difficult to access or the motif will not sit correctly for your anatomy, ask a professional piercer to fit it.
5. Where can I wear the vertical version?
This is the vertical number version, created for piercing placements where the motif is intended to read upright as the hoop sits vertically.
Common placements include the nostril, lobe and selected daith piercings, depending on your anatomy, piercing angle and chosen inner diameter.
For placements such as the septum or conch, where a horizontally oriented motif may sit more naturally, choose the horizontal version instead.
